The Rationale
Public discourse is often characterized by conflict. As Christians, we counter this by sharing a Vocabulary of Positivity.
Every week, we explore a new principle that answers the question: Yes, but how?
This Week’s Principle
Be Peaceful
Yes, But How?
- Anchor Your Heart and Mind: True peace starts internally. It comes from securing your heart and mind in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When you are spiritually anchored, external chaos cannot easily shake you.
- Maintain a “Low Anxious Presence”: In anxious or tense social situations, challenge yourself to be a calming force. By maintaining a low anxious presence, you choose not to absorb or reflect the panic and stress of the world around you.
- Refuse to React to Negativity: When you encounter negative people or harsh comments, you don’t have to match their energy. Being peaceful means staying calm, resisting the urge to react defensively to negative stimuli, and letting your tranquility speak for itself.
